Daniel Addresses Southern California Rotary Clubs
Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 4:30PM On August 28 Daniel addressed Rotary Club members from across Southern California for their annual literacy breakfast held at Lawry’s Restaurant in Beverly Hills. Ron Davis, a teacher from Roosevelt High School, and Derek Finks, a counselor with the California Youth Authority, joined Daniel who addressed education and gangs. His topic was “Let There Be Light: Gangs, Literacy and Education.”
Rotary District Governor Susanne Sundberg and Literacy Chairperson Olivia Patterson“What impressed me was how Daniel was received by the Rotarians. The Rotarians all thought it was an excellent program; however, what really stood out was how many of the adults felt that they needed to go find their own tree. The presentation stirred up thoughts of latent dreams for the adults.”

"Daniel Armstrong's message was timely, insightful and relevant to the task of educating youth in today's environment. The Find A Tree philosophy of creating a vision for each individual is fundamental to guiding our children on a path of literacy, self motivation and success."
